MUCC releases music video for “Violet,” the coupling track of their new single “Ai no Uta”!

MUCC has released the music video for “Violet,” the coupling song of their first single since transferring to a major label, “Ai no Uta,” which was released on June 4th!

“Violet” is a track with lyrics by Miya (Gt) and music composed by YUKKE (Ba)/Miya. With its synthesizer melody and guitar phrases, it is a song that gives off the feel of nostalgic melodies from the late 80s to 90s.

While considering a location that would suit the atmosphere of the song, YUKKE came up with the idea to film the music video in a “Heisei complicated room” filled with nostalgic items from the Heisei era. The video is set in the early Heisei era, where three students, two boys and two girls, are spending their time freely in the room, and various events suddenly occur. Tatsuro (Vo) plays the student’s older brother, Miya plays the older brother’s friend, and YUKKE plays a commercial actor. There are many gimmicks in the room, and the texture of the footage was also shot with a video camera from that time to match the historical background, showing attention to detail down to the last detail, making it a work that will resonate not only with fans, but also with the generation that spent their youth in the 90s.

MUCC began their activities in 1997 and have lived through the Heisei era. Watch the music video for “Violet,” which they worked on with great care while still keeping their sense of fun, and get a feel for what the Heisei era was like!
