YELLOWCARD, an alternative band that sparked a storm of enthusiasm and excitement at “PUNKSPRING” held in April 2025, will release their album “Better Days” on October 10th, 2025! Along with the announcement, the lead single and title track “Better Days” and the track “Honestly I” were also released!
This is the first full album in about 10 years, and BLINK-182’s Travis Barker serves as producer and executive producer, and has also been involved in drums for all the songs.
“Better Days” is a song that was produced in a way that deals with feelings that are within themselves, such as gratitude, forgiveness, perspective, and purpose. The veteran band, once famous for “MTV” and “Billboard Hot 100” and were consistently popular on the “Vans Warped Tour,” will once again be fresh and energetic in 2025. Members William Ryan Key (Vo/Gt), Sean Mackin (Vl), Ryan Mendez (Gt) and Josh Portman (Ba) are making more powerful sounds than ever before.
Yellowcard – Better Days (Official Music Video)
The music video for “Better Days” shows the members dressed up as 80’s film characters and performed in a vintage video shop. The footage directed by Jordan Phoenix captures the current YELLOWCARD truly enjoys the music. Ryan Key said, “Our new chapter is about happiness. We were able to make a truly fun video for the first time in 20 years, and I hope everyone can smile.”
The band said “it’s no use for the best in their careers,” and after carefully confronting music, they decided to use the help of others for the first time. Ryan Mendez invited his longtime friend Nick Long to songwriting, and through him Travis joined in, performing drums and producing all the songs. Frontman Ryan Key says, “It’s completely different from what I was when I first started making it. I came to the scene with the realization that I needed help, and I was able to write songs again, just like I did when I was 19.” Working with Travis appears to have been a major personal/creative breakthrough for them.
YELLOWCARD disbanded in 2017, but reunited in 2022. The album Better Days is not just a revival, but a key piece that marks the beginning of a new chapter for the band.
