YUNGBLUD has released their third predecessor single, “Zombie,” from their fourth album “Idols,” which will be released on June 20th, today, May 30th!
A music video for the song will also be released tomorrow, May 31st, at midnight.
YUNGBLUD – Zombie (Official Music Video)
The music video is directed by Charlie Thursfield and stars Academy Award-nominated actress Florence Pugh.
YUNGBLUD talks about Zombie as follows:
The song was inspired by her grandmother suffering severe injuries and trauma, leaving her like a different person from her previous girlfriend. The fear of weakening your mind and body, and the fear of becoming ugly in the process. It depicts feelings that make people feel afraid of someone’s burden or shame, and that they alienate the people they care about. We all want something or someone to be there no matter how we are. But that’s really scary.
— YUNGBLUD
The song is scheduled to be included in the new album “Idols,” which will be released on June 20th, and is the most ambitious project of his career, and the first of a two-part double album (the release date for the second album will be announced at a later date). We are also accepting pre-orders for the Japan special cross-shaped special pack, which was released the other day, so be sure to check them out as well.
