HELLOWEEN, which celebrated its 40th anniversary this year in 2025, has released the music video for his first single, “This Is Tokyo,” from his 17th studio album, “Giants & Monsters,” which will be released on August 27th, which will be released on August 27th!

The music video depicts a futuristic Japanese style, making it very interesting. Andi Deris (Vo), who composed and composed the lyrics for the song, said:
“This Is Tokyo” is a song that brings out a unique feeling. I’ve always wanted to write this song. Japan is a special place in my life. That’s because Japan was the first time I was able to achieve success in my life with PINK CREAM 69, and Japan has always made me so incredibly good. I wanted to create a tribute to Japan, but the idea for the lyrics finally came to mind. In the chorus, I used “Tokyo” because it has a better sense of language than “Japan”, and that city represents the entire country that is very important to me.

In 2017, Kai Hansen (Gt/Vo) and Michael Kiske (Vo) made a sudden return to HELLOWEEN, which was a seven-person lineup. At the time, the lineup was limited-time, but due to the positive reactions of fans around the world and the fact that they were able to get better than they could have imagined, they decided to continue working with the seven of them. In 2021, the first album of seven members shocked the scene with “Helloween,” but “Giants & Monsters” will be their second studio album created by the seven members, while still keeping the momentum going.
As this was the second work of a seven-person series, it is easy to imagine that the members were able to create songs more well after learning about each other. The style is more diverse than the previous work, including “Savior Of The World” and “Universe (Gravity For Hearts)” which bursts with the melodic power metal giant HELLOWEEN, “Under The Moonlight” that gives off a sense of clarity and catchiness from the early days, and “Into The Sun,” a ballad sung in duets between Andi Deris and Michael Kiske.
Charlie Bauerfeind and Dennis Ward continue to produce the previous work. The mixing took place at Whisserroad Studio, a legendary studio in Hilfersum, Netherlands, as well as works by rock giants such as JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, DEF LEPPARD and RAMMSTEIN.
Giants & Monsters is also being released at the same time as a 2CD Deluxe Edition, which comes with a disc containing songs not included in the main album and tracks of different versions, so be sure to check it out too!
