Lynch. has announced the 20th anniversary project “XX act:8 & 9” and the final “XX FINAL ACT” at the tour final performance held at Spotify O-EAST today, June 20th, which marks the 20th anniversary retake album “GREEDY DEAD SOULS / UNDERNEATH THE SKIN” released in April!
The 20th anniversary project announced will include the release of its second retake album on September 24th as “XX act:8”, a nationwide tour as “XX act:9”, and a live performance at Tokyo Garden Theater on December 28th as “XX FINAL ACT”!
The second retake album is “THE AVOIDED SUN / SHADOWS,” the second retake album released in April this year to commemorate their 20th anniversary, and is a luxurious album consisting of four copies, including three CDs and one Blu-ray. The film will be re-recorded and included new early works “THE AVOIDED SUN” and “SHADOWS” released by lynch. during his indie days. Following the previous work, 26 songs have been vividly revived through their current efforts, making this a must-have piece not only for fans who have supported Lynch. for a long time, but also for users who have learned about Lynch. through recent talks. The album also includes one new song (newly written) to commemorate the 20th anniversary, and a Blu-ray containing the music video and making-of footage will be included. It was also announced that a release event will be held at TOWER RECORDS autograph session (Shinjuku, Osaka, Nagoya) and that an early reservation campaign will be held, which will include a B2 announcement poster for this work as a bonus if you reserve at participating stores by July 31st.
In addition, a new artist visual has also been released! It follows the visual image of her album “SHADOWS,” released in 2009, which will be retaken with this work, and she wears black leather in front of the shutter, making it even more exciting for this work.
It has also been announced that the nationwide live tour “TOUR’25 “THE AVOIDED SHADOWS” will be held from October to December!
The company is scheduled to travel to 14 cities with a second retake album to commemorate the 20th anniversary, which will be released in September. As the final of the tour, the “lynch. 20TH ANNIVERSARY XX FINAL ACT “ALL THIS WE’LL GIVE YOU” will also be held at Tokyo Garden Theater on December 28th, the day after the anniversary of the formation of lynch.! It will be the live performance that will be the culmination of the 20th anniversary project, which will begin in 2024 and last for a year.
