LOVEBITES has announced that they will release their new album, “LOVEBITES EP II,” on August 28th!
This latest work, “LOVEBITES EP II,” is the first work to be created from scratch with the current lineup of five members. As the title suggests, this work can be said to be the second installment of their shocking debut work “THE LOVEBITES EP” in 2017, and is a masterpiece that can be called “LOVEBITES 2.0” by the girls who have continued to update themselves since their debut. The cover art of this work, “LOVEBITES EP II,” is an impactful one, using a photo of a white leather jacket in the color that symbolizes the band, decorated with gold studs and a patch of the band logo, while “THE LOVEBITES EP” used a photo of a denim jacket!
The album contains five completely new songs, and the band listened to “THE LOVEBITES EP” over and over again while creating them. The four songs are simple and completely different, each with a distinctive personality, but when viewed as a whole, the EP is a mysterious work that somehow seems to be consistent. While feeling that initial impulse once again, the grown-up LOVEBITES has absorbed the atmosphere of the songs of LOVEBITES at the time of their debut, and has succeeded in maintaining an exquisite balance while being unbalanced in a good way.
The limited edition A of this work comes with a CD “RE-LOVEBITES EP” containing 4 songs re-recorded from “THE LOVEBITES EP” with the current lineup. The original “THE LOVEBITES EP” was a limited release and is currently unavailable, so this edition with the re-recorded version will be the center of attention this time (“Bravehearted” is the English version). In addition, the limited edition B and limited edition C each come with a Blu-ray and DVD consisting of the music video of the lead track and a behind-the-scenes video of the filming.
Furthermore, on the same day, August 28th, the latest live Blu-ray/2DVD/2CD “Memorial for the Warrior Souls” will also be released! This work is a complete recording of the live performance at Showa Women’s University Hitomi Memorial Hall on September 24th during the “JUDGEMENT DAY TOUR” held last year. The performance was live streamed on the day, but the video editing is completely different from that, allowing you to see the detailed movements and expressions of each member. As for the sound source, two masters Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila have mixed and mastered it at the prestigious Finnish “Finnvox Studio”. Five songs from the 4th album “Judgment Day” that were performed live for the first time are included, and the Blu-ray and DVD include a bonus tour documentary video of over an hour that follows the band to seven cities in Fukuoka, Sendai, Sapporo, Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Yokohama. Fans outside of Tokyo will also be able to relive their memories of the performances in each area.
