Pre-orders for the “maximum10″ compiles ourselves. MAYDIE.3” label compilation “maximum10” which will be released on August 8th without digital distribution, but will be released on CD only, has begun today, July 22nd, on “HOLIDAY! RECORDS”!
maximum10 is an up-and-coming label that has produced FACT, MUSE, SIGUR RÓS, THE PRODIGY and more in Japan. The first installment of the “MAYDIE” series included FACT and other bands that were affiliated with the label, as well as 80KIDZ, FIVE NEW OLD, MY FIRST STORY and others, and attracted a lot of attention for their borderless curation. The second installment was based on the theme of “Nu-Skool Melodic Hardcore”, with FOR A REASON, LEXT, SHADOWS, The Coastguards, waterweed, and others taking part.
The artists included this time are Nikon, POP DISASTER, sfpr, waterweed, and Jugo Shoujo, who are also members of the same label. POP DISASTER, sfpr and waterweed will be participating in new songs.
In August, release events will also be held in Osaka and Tokyo! Tickets are on sale now.
This work will be released exclusively on HOLIDAY! RECORDS. HOLIDAY! RECORDS is a distro that was launched from scratch by Ueno Hideaki, a band member himself, in 2014. With the concept of “After school, we share our latest recommendations with friends who share our hobbies, regardless of whether they’re famous or unknown, and only sell carefully selected good bands (they never improve their selection),” they continue to inspire potential cool bands that are potentially popular, even if they don’t.
