“Gekkan Idol” (pronounced “Gekkan Idol”) is a project that features the “singing power” of idols who are active in a wide range of fields from the live scene to the mass media and who attract fans, and delivers music through collaborations with musicians and creators across genres. “Gekkan Idol” is a project that invites members from various idol groups across Japan who have particularly attractive singing and voices as vocalists, and releases songs written by musicians across genres every month. It has been announced that the fifth issue of “Gekkan Idol”, August issue “Start Select feat. Hoshiguma Minami (Gawam Rakia)”, will be released on August 14th.

The vocals are handled by Hoshiguma Minami of GAMAN RAKIA, who freely crossover between various genres such as rock, hip hop, R&B, EDM, Djent, alternative, and metalcore, and create music with strong messages that embody the group’s concept of “pursuing living true to yourself” and “affirming human diversity.”
　
The song is written by Nakamura Miku, who is in charge of lyrics, composition, arrangement, vocals, guitar, keyboards, and production for Cö shu Nie, an experimental rock band that has attracted attention for its unique worldview. Nakamura Miku’s delicate singing voice and dramatic and thrilling rock sound have continued to attract the attention of music fans and creators both in Japan and abroad, and this time, a love call from Hoshiguma Minami reached Nakamura Miku, resulting in a collaboration.
