After the final show of their tour, held today on July 14th at Kanagawa Kenmin Hall, which was a sold-out premiere performance, BAND-MAID made a surprise announcement that they will release their original full album “Epic Narratives” on September 25th, and that their Zepp tour, which was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held again in November!
The three pieces of news announced this time were details of the band’s first original full album in three and a half years, which was previously only known to be scheduled for release this summer, a special live concert on August 30th, and a Zepp tour that will take place in four locations across the country starting in November.
The new album, titled “Epic Narratives,” will include singles such as “Shambles” (the ending theme for the anime “Kengan Ashura” Season 2), “Bestie” (co-written with INCUBUS guitarist Michael Einziger), and “Protect You” (the ending theme for the TV anime “Grendizer U”). In addition, the album will include 14 songs in total, including 10 unreleased songs, such as “SHOW THEM,” a collaboration with the world-famous Mexican band of three sisters, THE WARNING.
This work will also be released simultaneously as a digital download and on CD in three different formats, but the Blu-ray and DVD included with the limited edition and first press limited edition will include footage of “THE DAY OF MAID” held on May 10, 2024, as well as a CD containing the opening sound effect “Seasoned” from “HALL TOUR 2024” as an early reservation bonus, and seven original bonuses for each shop. As always, there will be a lot of bonuses. Further details, including the artwork, will be announced at a later date.
Advance ticket sales for the special edition Oyatsu and Zepp tour will begin today, July 14th at 9pm on the Omeishusama no Kai (fan club). Check the official website/SNS for details!
