Two important bands in the heavy music world, MASTODON and LAMB OF GOD, have released the super heavyweight collaborative single “Floods Of Triton”!

This collaborative single is an energetic anthem that sees both heavy music icons MASTODON and LAMB OF GOD push the boundaries while evoking the spirit of their earlier work. The new song was created to coincide with a joint headline arena tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of MASTODON’s second album, Leviathan, and LAMB OF GOD’s fourth album, Ashes Of The Wake. It showcases the band’s strong relationship as seminal bands in heavy music and draws on the influences of their respective enduring classics. The single was recorded at MASTODON’s West End Sound in Atlanta, Georgia, and produced by Tyler Bates (MASTODON, John Wick score, etc.).
MASTODON’s “Leviathan” and LAMB OF GOD’s “Ashes Of The Wake” were not only key turning points in their respective bands’ careers, but also deeply influential works on the evolution of the genre. The single “Floods Of Triton” reflects the innovation and raw energy of those albums, but also speaks to their creativity and relentless desire to evolve, marking the first steps into their next chapters.
