ATHENA XIX, featuring Fabio Lione (ANGRA/ex-RHAPSODY OF FIRE) returning as vocalist, will release their first new album in 23 years on October 25th!

Fabio Lione, current lead vocalist of ANGRA and former member of RHAPSODY OF FIRE, has rejoined his former Italian progressive power metal band ATHENA XIX to release their first new album in 23 years, “Everflow Part 1: Frames Of Humanity,” on October 25th!

ATHENA XIX was formed in 1991 under the name ATHENA. The vocalist was Fabio Lione, who would later go on to play an active role in RHAPSODY OF FIRE and LABŸRINTH, but after releasing one demo in 1993, Fabio left the band. The band made their album debut in 1995 with “Inside, The Moon,” and in 1998 they released their second album, “A New Religion?”, with Fabio back on vocals. This album was welcomed by fans around the world as one of the strongest Italian power metal albums, but Fabio left the band again. The band released their third album, “Twilight Of Days,” in 2001, but disbanded the following year in 2002. ATHENA became a legend in Italian power metal, but they made a comeback in 2019. In 2022, the band will change its name to ATHENA XIX, welcome Fabio back as vocalist, and release their first new album in 23 years on October 25th!
