Asagi has announced the release of their new single “Momotaro Denki ~Gamushara~” and a winter tour!
While the craze for the previous work “Kitsune Hanabi” is still going strong, the next theme is “Momotaro”. This work contains two songs, the lead song “Momotaro Denki ~Gamushara~” and the coupling song “Momotaro Denki ~Onibi~”, which also has a unified worldview.
The guest line-up for “Momotaro Denki ~Gamushara~” includes an impressive line-up of musicians, including Sakuto (NIGHTMARE/JAKIGAN MEISTER) on guitar, SHUSE (†яi￠к/La’cryma Christi) on bass, Atsushi (ex-SIAM SHADE/BULL ZEICHEN 88) on drums, and, following on from the previous album, Haibukuro Masashi (Wagakki Band/Kafugetsu) on koto, and Ninagawa Beni (Wagakki Band) on Tsugaru shamisen.
“Momotaro Denki ~Onibi~” features a lineup of famous artists such as you (ex-Janne Da Arc/Nicori Light Tours) on guitar, Aki (Sadie/AXESSORY) on bass, Tokai Junji (Kiryu) on drums, and Miyako Keiichi (SOPHIA/Rayflower) on keyboards.
Also, at the tour finale at Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO), an unreleased song will be distributed to all attendees. The title is yet to be decided, but this song will feature well-known members such as HIRO (La’cryma Christi) on guitar, Gil (Angelo/ex-Vidoll), Yo (Matenrou Opera) on bass, and HIROKI (D) on drums.
Guests in the music video include Aki (Sadie/AXESSORY) as the dog, Gil (Angelo/ex-Vidoll) as the pheasant, who is making his first appearance in Asagi’s solo work, and HIROKI (D), who is already a familiar face in Asagi’s solo work, as the monkey. Using archaic language, the video faithfully expresses the Japanese world while creating a unique worldview that is characteristic of Asagi. Images that have already been released give a glimpse of the highlights of the music video.
Applications are already being accepted for the first round of fan club advance tickets (for the November performance) for the tour.
