It has been decided that the 16th original album “Parasomnia” will be released on February 7, 2025, the first release of progressive metal scene giant Mike Portnoy (Dr.) of DREAM THEATER!
Released by Inside Out/Sony Music. Also, the first single “Night Terror” from the album has been distributed from today!
From the opening track “In The Arms Of Morpheus” to the album closer “The Shadow Man Incident”, they return to the scene with a total of 8 songs and 71 minutes of songs that show why they have cultivated a loyal following for 40 years. DREAM THEATER. The album was produced by John Petrucci (Gt), engineered by James “Jimmy T” Meslin, mixed by Andy Sneap, and artwork by Hugh Syme. “Parasomnia” is a medical term that refers to sleep disorders such as sleepwalking, sleepwalking, and night terrors. Songs like “Bend The Clock” all build on themes derived from the album title. The same goes for the 1st single “Night Terror” released today, which lasts just under 10 minutes and provides a thrilling listening experience unique to DREAM THEATER. The music video for the song, directed by Mike Leonard, was also released today!
