MÅNESKIN vocalist Damiano David releases the music video for his new solo single “Born With A Broken Heart” heralding a new era!

MÅNESKIN frontman Damiano David (Vo) released the latest single “Born With A Broken Heart” from his new solo project today, October 25th, along with the music video!

The song, like the ballad “Silverlines” released last month, was produced by British singer-songwriter/producer Labrinth, who is known for co-writing with Beyoncé, THE WEEKND, and Kanye West. However, the tone is completely different, and the result is a pop song full of energy, with a synth-driven melody and a hook-filled chorus that coexist comfortably with the emotionally charged lyrics. Despite being born during what is often described as a difficult and personally dark period in Damiano’s life, it is an appealing song with the strength of an anthem.

Damiano says, “When I wrote this song, I was coming out of a very dark place. I felt like I had lost my emotions and couldn’t feel the good or the bad.” I was so scared that I was about to enter the most meaningful relationship of my life and that I wasn’t ready for it. I think this song was a way for me to understand what I’m feeling and try to look at it from a less scary perspective. Luckily, I don’t feel like this right now. I can tell you, I think a lot of people can relate to that feeling of not being good enough.”

The music video, directed by Aerin Moreno, is the perfect visual representation of the single, with eye-catching choreography and stagecraft throughout.

Speaking about the music video, Damiano says: “This music video is my personal fantasy. No matter what happens, once you step through the door, everything will be enchanting and beautiful. Not all negative things will hurt you, and sometimes life will be different. It’s a way of expressing that sometimes it takes us to the next chapter of our lives. We all have the ability to turn negative experiences into something meaningful for us.”
