It has been decided that Merry will release her first new album in about three and a half years, “The Last Scene”, on February 12, 2025!
This was announced at the encore of the sponsored event “Rum Fest 2024″ held at LIQUIDROOM in Ebisu, Tokyo on November 7, 2024, the 23rd anniversary of the band’s formation in 2001. Gala (Vo) said that after experiencing a sudden breakup in recent years, he realized that nothing is forever, and said, “I don’t know when that moment will come, but what kind of scenery will I see and what will I feel?” I really want what I see at the end to be extremely happy, and when I see that, I think, “Ah, I’m glad I did this.” “I wanted to think, ‘Wow, I’ve had the best life.’ That’s what I want to leave behind in this album,” he said, expressing his thoughts behind the title.
It has also been decided that a national tour “Merry ONEMAN TOUR “The Last Scene #1″” will be held to promote the new work. The final day will be held at Tokyo Cinema Club on May 31st. Be sure to check it out!
