Danish rock band HERO will urgently release their latest song “Halo” in advance in Japan today, December 4th! It has also been revealed that next year, on February 19, 2025, their 4th album “Ghost Of You” will be released first in Japan! (Overseas release date is scheduled for February 21, 2025)
“Halo,” the lead single from the album, can be said to be the band’s most epic, cinematic-sounding track to date. Frontman Christoffer Stjerne (Vo/Gt) says of the new single, “‘Halo’ is about confronting your past, facing your fears, and taking responsibility for your future. The song references his Christian upbringing and uses the metaphor of sacred symbols. It’s a story about having the courage to stand on your own and move forward in life.”
The emotional depth of ‘Halo’ is also reflected in the musical direction the band has chosen. The heavy riff has an increased sense of seriousness, and it can be said to be a powerful evolution of the HERO sound. Christoffer adds: “We’re extremely proud of Halo. It’s a song that shows a more cinematic sound and more seriousness than we’ve shown before.”
