Directed by Simon Emmett, the music video for ‘I Hate Myself’ was shot in one unedited take and features frontman Justin Hawkins in a never-before-seen look. Playing with gender roles and channeling the spirit of a naive, chain-smoking diva with perfect makeup and long, flowing hair, the singer puts the blame squarely on herself while documenting the breakup of a relationship. , in a reflective mode.
Justin says about the video, “Simon I love working with Emmett, and everything we’ve collaborated on so far has been great, and this one is no exception.
