METAL CHURCH have announced that they will be releasing a live album of their 2019 Japan tour, “The Final Sermon (Live In Japan 2019)” on July 26th!

This performance, which was held over two nights at Kawasaki CLUB CITTA’ on August 24th and 25th during the 2019 “Damned If You Do” tour, was the last performance of Mike Howe (Vo) with METAL CHURCH, who passed away on July 26th, 2021.

Kurdt Vanderhoof, who produced the album, commented:

◼️Comment from Kurdt Vanderhoof
We recorded these two shows in Japan with the intention that Mike could go into the studio and fix any inconsistencies or retrack what didn’t work, but he never got the chance. First the pandemic hit, and then of course his tragic passing. So what you’re hearing is exactly what the audience heard that night, Mike giving it his all, live, uncut! This album not only commemorates our 2019 “Damned If You Do”, but also pays tribute to the legacy of our friend and brother. This album is being released on the third anniversary of his death. We hope that Mike will continue to be remembered for the music and love he brought to the world.
