HOT MILK has released its long-awaited new song, “90 Seconds To Midnight,” today, February 28th!
90 Seconds To Midnight
A music video featuring British comedian Frank Skinner is also coming soon, and was filmed and produced in their hometown of Salford, along with their longtime friend Kennedy.
Han Mee said about the new song, “The End Clock is approaching midnight, and this desperate song will add to the looming nuclear winter mood. We wanted to shock listeners with this song. The lyrics were inspired by the poem “Slough” by 17th-century philosopher Rousseau and poet John Betchmann. Rousseau argued that humans create their own hindrances and cannot be free. In this case, we created our own destruction. Meanwhile, Bechman’s poem takes up this concept of ending, laughs it off, and invites nuclear weapons, saying, “Friendly Bomb.” Let’s start from scratch again.”
It has also been announced that they will release their new album, “Corporation POP,” which includes this new song, on June 27th! On Corporation POP, produced by Jim Shaw, Zac Jones and KJ Strock, the band delivers the heaviest sound, raw, and honest lyrics. The album also serves as a social commentary, showing the dark side of the world that surrounded them when they wrote the records. Meanwhile, their lighthearted and ridiculous humor is also studded everywhere.
