Shinjuku store releases idol project “NO MUSIC, NO IDOL?” poster VOL.299 STU48 makes its first appearance

Tower Records’ Shinjuku store will be hosting the idol project “NO MUSIC, NO IDOL?” VOL. 299, which will see the debut of STU48, who will be releasing their long-awaited first album “Natsukashii Ashita” on Wednesday, June 12th.

STU48 was born in March 2017 as the sixth AKB48 group produced by Yasushi Akimoto. Based in the Setouchi area, it is the first wide-area idol group of the AKB48 group, active mainly in “One Sea, Seven Prefectures”. The new album, “Natsukashii Ashita”, is the long-awaited first album of STU48, which is celebrating its eighth year since its formation, and is a culmination of their work to date and a new start.

To commemorate this, Tower Records has produced five types of “NO MUSIC, NO IDOL?” collaboration posters. They will be displayed in 10 stores, including the Shinjuku store, and customers who purchase the designated “Natsukashii Ashita ” or will receive one of these collaboration posters at random. Additionally, online customers will receive one of five postcards with the same design at random.

STU48 Profile

It was founded in March 2017 as the sixth sister group of AKB48 in Japan.

Based in the Setouchi area, this is the AKB48 Group’s first wide-area idol group, active mainly in “One Sea, Seven Prefectures.”

The group was named STU48 (STU Forty-eight) after the initials of Setouchi (SeToUchi).

While touring the seven prefectures of Setouchi, they are carrying out activities and performances to deliver the “Voice of Setouchi” to the whole country.
