Shinjuku store releases idol project “NO MUSIC, NO IDOL?” poster VOL.300 Yoko Minamino makes her first appearance


Tower Records Shinjuku store is hosting an idol project called “NO MUSIC, NO IDOL?” Vol. 300, which will see the debut of Yoko Minamino, who will release “Minamino Yoko The Best Ten Collection[3 Blu-ray Discs + Interview Book]” on Wednesday, June 26th.

“Minamino Yoko The Best Ten Collection[3 Blu-ray Discs + Interview Book]” is a Blu-ray BOX set that includes all episodes of the TBS music program “The Best Ten” that Yoko Minamino, currently an actress, appeared on in the mid-to-late 1980s when she reigned as a top idol. All of the footage of her appearances on “The Best Ten” from 1986 to 2004 is recorded on three Blu-ray discs, and it also includes a 50-page interview book with Minamino Yoko herself talking about her episodes from the program at the time, making this a truly valuable video and interview work.

In June 1985, she made her debut as a singer with the single “Too Embarrassing.”

She was a top idol with immense popularity in the mid-to-late 1980s. She had eight consecutive number one singles on the hit charts, including “Door to Paradise,” “I Wanted to Talk to You,” “Haikara-san ga Tooru,” and “Toiki de Net” (a total of nine number one singles).

Since the 1990s, she has focused on her acting career, but in 2016 she held a concert to commemorate the 30th anniversary of her debut. In 2022, she will release two new songs and perform concerts regularly.

In 2023, he will be appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the 70th Anniversary of Japan-Cambodia Friendship.

Concerts will be held in Tokyo, Yokohama, and Osaka in July 2024.
