Shochiku Co., Ltd. and TST Entertainment Co., Ltd. will be holding a tour of the largest night club in Japan, including traditional Japanese music, gagaku and kagura ga Gakuhaya, as well as the latest EDM, at Kabukicho, Shinjuku, and ZEROTOKYO, one of the largest nightclubs in Japan, on Friday, February 14th, 2025. “ZIPANGU the Party!!,” an innovative music event that combines the two.

This event will be an event where you can experience a stimulating, new-sense culture mix that transcends time and culture, and consists of “ZIPANGU Sakuragami,” a blend of traditional performing arts and the latest music, as well as stages featuring popular domestic artists. . A total of 50 artists gathered, and the “final boss” Kobayashi Sachiko made her first appearance on the club scene, with over 1,000 music fans rushing to the venue.

At ZEROTOKYO’s main hall Z HALL, Taku Takahashi (m-flo, block.fm), a member of the music unit m-flo and heads block.fm, will be holding the venue with a remix of emotional pop songs from the latest songs. It made me excited. After the special stage “ZIPANGU Sakuragami,” the new age vocal unit BPM15Q, which has gained worldwide popularity due to its fusion of distinctive singing and dance music, was featured, and the floor was filled with excitement. And TeddyLoid, who also produces songs from BPM15Q, has appeared. Unlike the usual sets, the venue is excited by selecting songs that will capture the hearts of the audience.

Then came the appearance of music producer KZ (livetune), who has produced many Japanese anime songs and game songs, and the excitement reached its peak with anime songs and confidence.

Special Stage ZIPANGU Sakuragami

Z HALL is filled with excitement with people dancing while enjoying music during DJ time.

As the music stopped playing, the venue suddenly changed to a fantastic atmosphere on the stage of “ZIPANGU Sakuragami,” which began with video production.

After graduating from an idol, Honma Niyo, who was her first full-scale dance performance, appears in a pure white dress. Using the expressiveness of ballet that she had cultivated since her childhood, she performed elegant solo dance.

Next, Mihara Arata, a young hopeful affiliated with Iwami Kagura Manrai, appears in a suit that looks like a businessman. Their dance with Honma gave a feeling that a new story would begin.

Suddenly, the dancers from “D-Classics” equipped with MPLUSPLUS LEDs suddenly appeared in front of the stage. The dancers, who are incarnations of evil, glow brightly as if cutting through the darkness, and dance to red and white, as they dance as if blocking the paths of Honma and Mihara. In the darkness, the movements of the dancers, clad in light, create a visual impact, creating a dynamic space.

Mihara quietly pulls out the flute, and the live music echoes beautifully with the players of Kagura-hayashi standing there in the background. As the high-pitched whistling trembles the club’s space, four giant snakes are summoned and confronted with the dancers. This was the moment when EDM beats and Kagura music intertwine, creating a new musical experience. This is probably the first time ever attempting to echo live traditional kagura music at a club venue.

As the rhythm of the drums grows stronger, the giant snakes change their formation one after another, surrounded by the glowing dancers. Finally, the light was contained and movement stopped. And in the midst of silence, a shining giant snake towered over the center – the moment the overwhelming presence of the snake was made.

The stage has been changed and ZEROTOKYO is enveloped in darkness.

A remixed version of the new song “Sakuragami,” written for this stage, is played, and the stage’s LED vision shows Kobayashi Sachiko, a mysterious and beautiful smile, on the full screen.

The giant snake is guided by Kobayashi’s singing voice and falls into darkness. Eventually, the giant snake and Mihara confront each other. However, after a fierce battle, Mihara is defeated. The film incorporates Kabuki elements that are typical of Tobe’s writing and direction, and expresses defeat by “Tonbo-returning (a passive somersault that is performed when an opponent throws him while in a stand-alone state).”

The four of them, dressed in white costumes, quietly surround Mihara, who has collapsed. Their costumes and faces glowed divinely, and the sound of clear bells echoed throughout the venue. As if to respond to the sound, powerful music began to ring, and the atmosphere changed completely. The mysterious space that intersects tradition and modern times spread out, and the audience took their breath and watched the moment.

Mihara, who had been defeated at least once, quickly changed into his traditional costume and faced the giant snake again with a sword in his hand. With overwhelming power, he defeats the giant snakes one after another. With the giant snake posed, RYO’s MPC and Kagura-hayashi were fused together, and the audience was filled with cheers as the passionate session was filled with cheers. The dynamic movements highlight the strength of traditional performing arts, and even audiences who saw Iwami Kagura for the first time were impressed. The final performance was Mihara’s solo performance. The tempo and volume increased, and we proceeded to the climax.

Finally, the long-awaited Kobayashi Sachiko herself appears. The audience greeted enthusiastic cheers as they performed their new song “Sakuragami” live in a spectacular singing voice. Honma and Mihara appeared on stage again and performed a dance to the song. The two of them, incorporating Iwami Kagura dance with a beautiful fan in hand, climaxing the stage, marking the climax of the stage, bringing a one-of-a-kind finale that combines tradition and innovation.

During the curtain call, all the performers were all on stage, and Kobayashi Sachiko introduced them. Two major announcements were made here. The first is that Kobayashi Sachiko’s new song “Sakuragami,” written for the performance, will be streamed worldwide from February 15th. The second is that the next “ZIPANGU the Party!!” has been decided to be held on Friday, August 22nd. The venue was filled with cheers at the announcement, and the event ended with enthusiasm amid a massive “Sachiko call.”
