At the celebration event to be held on Saturday, December 7th, after a service conducted by Archbishop Laurent Ulrich of Paris, a special concert will be held featuring top musicians from across genres. The concert will include Pharrell Williams and Angelique Kidjo, as well as opera stars Nadine Sierra, Pretty Yende, Benjamin Vername, pianist Katia Buniatishvili, organist Olivier Latry, and violinist Renaud Capuçon. , Daniel Rozakovic, and cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
It has also been decided that the French Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, led by world-renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel, will perform. Pianist Lang Lang will be invited to perform “Saint-Saëns: Piano Concerto No. 2.”
Celebrations at Notre Dame Cathedral will continue until Sunday, Dec. 8, when the inauguration Mass and dedication of the new altar will be celebrated, with special events scheduled every day for a week thereafter.
