Universal Music LLC (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fujikura Nao / hereinafter, Universal Music) will be releasing Hata Motohiro’s new song, “A Love Song that’s been made by Hata Motohiro on Wednesday, February 26th ( ) will be streamed.
This song was written as the theme song for the film “35th Year Love Letter,” which will be released on Friday, March 7th. The film is written after reading the script, and is heartwarming, almost like the main character, Nishihata Yasushi, rewrites his love letter to his wife over and over again. It will also be released as a limited edition CD single on Wednesday, March 5th.
The CD, which will be released as a limited edition, is a jacket card with a movie visual, and includes a handwritten lyrics card by Hata himself. It also comes with a Blu-ray containing three live footage from a concert held last year and a handwritten lyric video of the title song, featuring the person appearing in the film.
The film “Love Letter in 35 Years” is a heartwarming experience for the husband who was unable to write, but after retirement he learns from scratch and struggles to write a love letter to his wife, and his wife who has supported him for many years. This work is based on a moving true story. Shofutei Tsurube plays the main character, Nishihata Yasushi, Harada Tomoyo plays the role of his wife, Yoko, and Shigeoka Daiki (WEST.) and Kamishiraishi Mone plays the role of the young couple.

Born in Miyazaki Prefecture and raised in Yokohama. He debuted in November 2006 with the single “Synchro.”
