Universal Music LLC (head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fujikura Nao / hereinafter referred to as Universal Music) will release the third album, Trilogy 3, by Chic Korea, on Friday, February 28th, of the highest modern piano trio, Trilogy, in partnership with Christian McBride and Brian Blade.
Trilogy is the most famous piano trio of modern times, “Trilogy” by master Chick Colia, a 27-time Grammy Award winner and jazz master of NEA (National Fund of the Arts). They released their first installment, “Trilogy” in 2013 and their second installment, “Trilogy 2” in 2018, and won the Grammy Awards in the United States for the second consecutive film.
This is the third live album, and will be the final album following the passing of Chick Korea (February 2021). This work has carefully selected the best take from the 2019 US and Japan tours, and the last 2020 European tours. The album CD will be released in Japan in advance and will be released on high-quality SHM-CDs.
