timelesz, 1st EP “timelesz” released on Wednesday, June 19th!

Universal Music LLC (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fujikura Hisashi; hereinafter referred to as “Universal Music”) will release timelesz’s first release, the 1st EP “timelesz”, on Wednesday, June 19th.

On April 1st, the group changed its name from “Sexy Zone” to “timelesz”. Their first release will be an EP containing 7 songs.

The title of the work is “timelesz”, named after their new group, and it will be released in three formats: Deluxe Edition, Limited Edition, and Standard Edition. In addition to four newly produced songs, it contains three songs released last year under the name Sexy Zone, all of which were drama theme songs: “Honne to Tatemae”, “Jinsei Yuugi”, and “Puzzle”. “Honne to Tatemae” will be included as a new full version.

The lead track “Anthem” was produced by Yamashita Tomohisa, who was asked to produce it by the members of timelesz. Yamashita wrote the lyrics, which express his wish for timelesz, who are about to embark on a new journey, to “soar powerfully like a dragon.” As the title suggests, it is a powerful dance tune with inspiring lyrics and a bass-heavy track, making it a song that acts as a declaration of determination befitting timelesz’s departure. The Deluxe Edition will include the music video and making-of footage, including the jacket photoshoot.

The Deluxe Edition is a first-time attempt at a luxury edition with eight major bonuses, and comes in an A4-sized “timelesz BOX” package with bonuses including an A4-sized 60-page photo book, a photo calendar starting in April, a B3-sized poster, a timelesz ID card, and a logo sticker, all of which are bonuses that incorporate the members’ ideas. The Limited Edition comes in a BOX + Digipak package, and the DVD contains newly shot variety footage. A random trading card (the design is the same for all three versions) is included as a bonus for all three versions.

timelesz will hold their arena tour “We’re timelesz Live Tour 2024 episode 0” from Saturday, June 22nd. Starting at the Makomanai Sekisui Heim Ice Arena in Hokkaido, they will perform 25 shows in 7 cities across the country.

The members are Shori Sato, Fuma Kikuchi, and So Matsushima.

On November 16, 2011, Sexy Zone debuted with the single “Sexy Zone,” which reached number one on the Oricon weekly charts. Since then, they have released 26 singles and 11 albums (including best/anniversary albums), all of which reached number one on the Oricon weekly charts.

On April 1, 2024, the group will change its name to timelesz and assume its current form. They are active in a variety of fields, including dramas, variety shows, commercials, and stage performances.
