Fuyumi Sakamoto's new album "Omoibito" will be released on Wednesday, June 26th!

Universal Music LLC (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fujikura Hisashi; hereinafter referred to as “Universal Music”) will release Fuyumi Sakamoto’s new album “Omoibito” on Wednesday, June 26th.

Fuyumi Sakamoto has released numerous cover albums not limited to enka and pop music, but also with her beautiful voice and rich expressive singing. This latest work is a heartwarming cover album based on the concept of “feelings.”

These include Anzenchitai’s huge hit “Koi no Yokan,” GACKT’s sad but touching “Sakura, Chiru…,” which uses the falling cherry blossoms as a motif to describe feelings of fleeting love, Hata Motohiro’s “Himawari no Yakusoku,” the ballad that was the theme song for “Stand by Me Doraemon” and is popular with a wide range of generations, Off Course’s sad but fleeting and beautiful masterpiece “Kokoro Hanarete,” Yamazaki Masayoshi’s “One more time, One more chance,” which realistically depicts the sense of loss when you lose a loved one, and Southern All Stars’ “Oh! The album contains 10 songs: “Claudia,” “Moon” by Kuwata Keisuke, with its deeply moving lyrics and heart-piercing melody of mourning; “Flowers in a Vase,” a song by Ishizaki Huwie that he has cherished since his debut, about his feelings for his mother in heaven; “Body and Soul,” a tear-jerking ballad released by the Downtown Boogie Woogie Band led by Uzaki Ryudo; and “A Thousand Winds,” a new standard song that anyone can love to sing along to.
