The Rolling Stones’ 30th Anniversary Edition of “Voodoo Lounge” to be released on Friday, July 12th!

Universal Music LLC (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fujikura Hisashi; hereinafter referred to as “Universal Music”) will release a special edition of The Rolling Stones’ album “Voodoo Lounge” in both physical and digital formats on Friday, July 12th to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its release.

Voodoo Lounge was released in 1994 and has sold over six million copies worldwide, winning a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. It includes the hits “You Got Me Rocking” and “Out of Tears” as well as the UK Top 20 single “Love Is Strong.”

This work, released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release, will be released in two formats: a red and yellow 2LP color version, and a red and yellow 2LP color + 10-inch version (limited to RS No.9 (HARAJUKU store & special site)) which includes an additional 10-inch with four bonus tracks. Like the album, all the songs on the 10-inch were written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, and with the exception of one song, they were written at Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin at the end of the recording sessions for “Voodoo Lounge.”

To commemorate the release of this work, RS No.9 HARAJUKU on the 2nd floor of UNIVERSAL MUSIC STORE HARAJUKU on Takeshita Street in Harajuku will be holding an AR campaign for a limited time from July 12th (Fri) to July 31st (Wed).

By scanning the “Bunny Man” familiar from the jacket design of the “Voodoo Lounge” in the store, you can enjoy taking commemorative photos with the “Bunny Man” AR content. If you post the image you took on SNS with the hashtag “RSNo9Harajuku” and show the post to the store staff, you will receive a randomly selected original “Voodoo Lounge” sticker (8 types in total) on the spot*. RS No.9 HARAJUKU has also started selling new products such as T-shirts, hand towels, and slip mats in-store.

*Participation is limited to one per person per day.

*Distribution will end as soon as the planned number of stickers is reached.

① Scan the 2D code on the AR poster installed on the 2nd floor of UNIVERSAL MUSIC STORE HARAJUKU to launch the AR camera.

②When the AR camera starts, scan the “Bunny Man” in the store.

3) Take a commemorative photo with the “Bunny Man” AR content

④ Take a commemorative photo and post it on social media with the hashtag #RSNo9Harajuku

⑤ Show the posted screen to the staff in the store

⑥You will receive an original Voodoo Lounge sticker, chosen at random from eight types, on the spot!
