Universal Music LLC (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fujikura Hisashi; hereinafter referred to as “Universal Music”) will release the Japanese version of the original soundtrack for the film “Deadpool & Wolverine” on CD on Friday, July 26th.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” is an action-packed, hilarious blockbuster movie about the exploits of Deadpool and Wolverine, the most outrageous heroes in movie history. The Japanese version of the original soundtrack for this movie will be released on CD.
This album includes the new song “SLASH” by the Korean 8-member boy band Stray Kids, the theme song “LFG” by composer Rob Simonsen, as well as familiar songs from other movies such as “Power of Love” from the movie “Back to the Future,” “Love Duet” from the movie “Grease,” and “The Greatest Show” from “The Greatest Showman,” starring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. In addition, it also includes many well-known Western songs by America’s leading rock bands, such as the Platters’ signature song “Only You,” which has been loved throughout the ages since its release in 1955, the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris,” and Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).”
An original score by composer Rob Simonsen and a deluxe edition containing both the original soundtrack and the original score are also available digitally.
Digital distribution services are currently running a download campaign where you can win wonderful gifts. Anyone who purchases the download version on an eligible service and uploads a screenshot of the purchase screen (purchase history) to the application site will receive a smartphone wallpaper with the Deadpool & Wolverine jacket design. 10 people will be chosen by lottery to receive original movie goods.
