To celebrate the release of My Hair is Bad’s album “ghosts”, Universal Music LLC (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hisashi Fujikura; hereafter referred to as “Universal Music”) will be holding its first pop-up store at the “UNIVERSAL MUSIC STORE HARAJUKU” in Harajuku, Tokyo for a limited time from August 9th (Friday) to August 25th (Sunday). The store will also be selling collaboration goods between “My Hair is Bad” and “Crayon Shin-chan” due to the fact that the song was chosen as the theme song for the movie “Crayon Shin-chan: Our Dinosaur Diary”.
My Hair is Bad is a three-piece rock band formed in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture in 2008. To commemorate the release of their sixth new album, “ghosts,” on Wednesday, July 31, they will be holding their first pop-up store at UNIVERSAL MUSIC STORE HARAJUKU on Takeshita Street in Harajuku, Tokyo.
The pop-up store will have a large lineup of My Hair is Bad original goods that will be unveiled for the first time. In addition, due to the fact that the new album includes the theme song “Omoide wo Kakenukete” for the movie “Crayon Shin-chan: Our Dinosaur Diary” (to be released nationwide on August 9, 2024), a friendship collaboration between “My Hair is Bad” and “Crayon Shin-chan” has been realized. We will be selling collaboration goods between “My Hair is Bad” and “Crayon Shin-chan” that feature original illustrations created specifically for this work.
The album contains 13 songs, including “Omoide wo Kakenukete,” “Higeki no Heroine” and “Jiyuu to Hysteria,” which were released as digital singles this year, and “Taiyou,” the official theme song for the 96th Senbatsu MBS. The first limited edition includes a reprint of the live video of the tour finale held at Joetsu EARTH in Niigata on March 7, 2015, which was released when they were an indie band and is now out of print. In addition, a serial code for entering the lottery for tickets to the “Fire Home Run Tour,” which will be held in September and will have 28 shows in 26 locations, is also included.

A three-piece rock band formed in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture in 2008.
In 2013, she released her first mini album “Yesterday I Want to Become Yesterday”, which was her first nationwide release, and in October 2014, she released her first full album “narimi”. In May 2016, she made her major debut with the single “Jidai wo Atsumete” on EMI Records. Her second full album “woman’s”, released in the same year, debuted at number 5 on the Oricon charts, and her third full album “mothers” in 2017 debuted at number 2 on the same charts.
In April 2022, they released their 5th full album “angels” and in October, they released the digital single “Hitomi ni Mezamete”. In February 2023, they successfully performed a total of four days at Nippon Budokan and Osaka-jo Hall as part of their nationwide tour “Ultimate Home Run Tour”.
In February 2024, they released the digital singles “Tragedy Heroine” and “Freedom and Hysteria” for two consecutive weeks, and in March, they released “Taiyou”, which was written specifically for the “96th Senbatsu MBS Official Theme Song”. It has been decided that their new song “Omoide wo Kakenukete” will be used as the theme song for the movie “Crayon Shin-chan: Our Dinosaur Diary”, which will be released nationwide on Friday, August 9, 2024. They will release their 6th full album “ghosts” on Wednesday, July 31st. Starting in September, they will hold the “Fire Home Run Tour” with 28 performances in 26 locations. The Zepp performances in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukusada will be a joint live, and the solo performance at Saitama Super Arena on Saturday, January 4th and Sunday, January 5th, 2025, as previously announced, will be the final of the tour.
