Yorushika's concept live "Dance of the Moon and Cat" Blu-ray/DVD will be released on Wednesday, September 18th!

Universal Music LLC (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fujikura Hisashi; hereinafter referred to as “Universal Music”) will release the Blu-ray/DVD of “Dance of the Moon and Cat,” a concept live performance that combines Yorushika’s music with a reading drama, on Wednesday, September 18th.

Yorushika’s “Haru,” released digitally in January this year, has exceeded 100 million streams. This work is a live video recording of Yorushika LIVE 2024 “Moon and Cat Dance,” held at TOKYO ARIAKE ARENA in April.

“Moon and Cat Dance” is a concept live performance that combines Yorushika’s live music and a reading drama by actors based on the musical art book “Magic Lantern” released last April, and is a work that allows you to experience Yorushika’s worldview through video. “Shayo”, which was chosen as the opening theme of the first season of the TV anime “My Heart is Dangerous”, was performed live for the first time at this show.

The first limited edition Blu-ray/DVD comes in a special edition package with two books housed in a three-sided case: postcards that were also distributed at the live venue, a 40-page pamphlet titled “The Dance of the Moon and Cat” featuring a roundtable interview with the members who performed at the live show and photos of the stage set, and the script for the play “The Dance of the Moon and Cat” (72 pages).

To commemorate the release of this work, eight Tower Records stores will be carrying the merchandise sold at “Moon and Cat Dance” for a limited time until closing time on Sunday, September 29th. In addition, a live video with the same content as this work will premiere on Yorushika’s YouTube channel from 6pm on Saturday, September 28th, and all the footage will be available to watch on YouTube 10 days after the release.
