Universal Music LLC (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fujikura Hisashi; hereinafter referred to as “Universal Music”) will release Yojiro Noda’s full album “WONDER BOY’S AKUMU CLUB” on Wednesday, September 25th.
Yojiro Noda, who is the vocalist, guitarist, and pianist of the rock band RADWIMPS, writes almost all of the songs for the band. This is his first original album under his solo name.
The album contains 13 songs that Yojiro Noda produced freely and loosely as an individual, such as “EVERGREEN feat.kZm” and “LAST LOVE LETTER”, which are available for download in advance, and “KATATOKI”, which he produced with American rapper JID as the theme song for “Ryu ga Gotoku 7 Gaiden: The Man Who Erased a Name” last year. The first limited edition comes with a T-shirt featuring the original character “AKUMU-KUN”, drawn by manga artist and illustrator Posuka Demizu. An analog version will also be released on the same day.
The music video for “LAST LOVE LETTER” was created by video director Odagiri Raku (Healthy Cream), who accompanied RADWIMPS on their world tour, and has a road movie-like finish that captures Noda Yojiro’s private life.
To commemorate the release, Yojiro Noda will be holding “Yojiro Noda welcomes you to WONDER BOY’S AKUMU CLUB” at the Tokyo Garden Theater on Friday, September 27th. Guest live acts at the concert will include kZm, who is a rapper on the album’s track “EVERGREEN feat. kZm,” as well as his friends Awich and iri. An after-party will be held at Spotify O-EAST in Shibuya late that night.

As the vocalist, guitarist, and pianist of the rock band RADWIMPS, he writes and composes almost all of their songs.
With a musicality that is not bound by the existing framework of genres and lyrics that philosophically and emotionally depict everything from love to the view of life and death, he has received great support, especially from the teenage generation. He was in charge of the music for the animated films “Your Name,” “Weathering with You,” and “Suzume no Tojimari,” each of which won him the Japan Academy Award for Best Original Score. He is also active in a variety of fields, including writing songs for other artists and starring in films and TV dramas.
In March 2024, he will release “EVERGREEN feat. kZm” featuring rapper kZm, and will release his first original album under his solo name, “WONDER BOY’S AKUMU CLUB”, on September 25th.
