We have concluded a digital distribution agreement with Bushiroad Music Co., Ltd., a group company of Nakano-ku, Tokyo, and President Takaaki Kitani, hereinafter referred to as Bushiroad, for the purpose of a strategic partnership in music content.
VMG*1 (known overseas as Virgin Music Group), a subsidiary of Universal Music, provides its partners with a music distribution platform that boasts a global network that spans the entire world and the latest technology, incorporating multi-patented AI.
Bushiroad’s smartphone app “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!” is a popular game with over 20 million users worldwide, and the TV anime “BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!” aired in 2023. has gained popularity not only in Japan but also in China, and the sequel “BanG Dream! Ave Musica” is scheduled to be broadcast on TV from January 2025. VMG will support the expansion of Bushiroad Music’s overseas business through the digital distribution of Bushiroad Music’s music works, which have a rapidly increasing number of fans mainly in China and other Asian countries.
The theme song “Kainaigen” will be distributed through VMG from September 28th in conjunction with the movie “BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!! Part 1: Spring Sunshine, Stray Cat” which will be released on September 27th. I will do it. The theme song for the movie version, “Kaina Gen” and the popular song “Mousei Shou” will also be distributed as Dolby Atmos sound sources for the first time in the BanG Dream! series. The Dolby Atmos sound source for this series is mixed at Universal Music Studio Harajuku, which is designed to a world-class standard.
