Original soundtrack for Fujiko Hemming’s documentary film “The Pianist in Love – Fujiko Hemming” will be released on October 2nd (Wednesday)!


Universal Music LLC (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takashi Fujikura / Universal Music) has released the original soundtrack for the documentary film “The Pianist in Love, Fujiko Hemming”.・Hemming Original Soundtrack ~ COLORS 2” will be released on October 2nd (Wednesday).

Fujiko Hemming, a pianist who continued to perform energetically all over the world, passed away in April of this year at the age of 92. “Fujiko Hemming, the Pianist in Love” is a documentary film filmed over the course of four years by director Kazuyoshi Komatsu that depicts Fujiko Hemming, who lived her life in her own way, no matter where she lived or at any time. Ahead of the movie’s nationwide roadshow on October 18th (Friday), we will be releasing the original soundtrack “Koisuru Pianist Fujiko Hemming Original Soundtrack ~ COLORS 2”.

This work includes Liszt’s “La Campanella”, Fujico’s signature piece, which was performed at a concert at the Conservatoire Theater in Paris, France in March 2023, Ravel’s “Pavane for a Dead Princess”, Contains 12 masterpieces that were part of Fujiko’s life, including Schubert’s Ave Maria, which she co-starred with Vasko Vassilev, a violinist and ally of Fujiko. Two bonus tracks are included: “Amazing Grace” by Okura Jinnai, whose singing voice was one of Fujiko’s favorites, and “Lullaby from the Chugoku Region” sung by Fujiko himself.

The bonus DVD includes videos such as Schumann’s “Traumerei” music video, Liszt “Sigh” recorded at Tobi Church in January 2021, and a concert commercial video in France that will be released for the first time in Japan. Recorded. As an included bonus, a “Special Angel Card” featuring an illustration of an angel drawn by Fujiko and Fujiko’s own famous quote is included.

“COLORS – Best Selections”, which is a selection of popular tracks from “COLORS”, the ultimate all-time best song that Fujiko spent two years selecting by herself before her death, is also available digitally.
