ABBA's best album "The Singles" commemorating the 50th anniversary of their world debut will be released on October 25th (Friday)!

Universal Music LLC (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takashi Fujikura / Universal Music) is pleased to announce the release of ABBA’s latest best album, “The Singles | The First.” Fifty Years) will be released on October 25th (Friday).

On April 6, 1974, ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest with “Waterloo”. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of their world debut this year, they will be releasing a best album.

This work will be released as a 2-CD set in Japan in two forms: a deluxe edition with a 7-inch paper jacket and a regular edition. It contains a total of 38 singles, from the debut single “People Need Love” in 1972 to the latest album “Voyage” released in 2021 for the first time in about 40 years. A 4LP version will also be released as an imported version.

Both the domestic and imported versions are limited editions, and the CD booklet features many unreleased photos from the group’s heyday. The deluxe edition of the domestic version is a Japan-only version that comes with a 7-inch paper jacket, a double-sided poster, a sticker sheet, and a disc holder with a scan of the “Koi no Waterloo” single EP, etc., and the CD can be played in a regular player. It is a SHM-CD specification with high sound quality that can be played.

To commemorate the release of this work, we are conducting a survey until 23:59 on Sunday, October 27th.
