Bon Jovi's 40th anniversary Japan-only best album "All Time Best 1984-2024" will be released on Wednesday, November 20th!

Universal Music LLC (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takashi Fujikura / Universal Music) has announced the release of Bon Jovi’s Japan-only best album “All… Time Best 1984-2024” will be released on November 20th (Wednesday).

Bon Jovi, America’s leading rock band, celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. This work is a best album whose contents were determined by a vote of Japanese fans to commemorate the 40th anniversary of their debut.

The work will be released in three formats: “Super Deluxe (3CD + Blu-ray)”, “Deluxe Edition (3CD)” and “Regular Edition (1CD)”, and will be included in a booklet with a message and autograph from Jon Bon Jovi. In addition to unreleased photos taken during past concerts and promotions in Japan, 521 names will be chosen at random from among the fans who voted in honor of May 21st, the day of Bon Jovi’s debut in Japan. It will be published.

The Super Deluxe Edition Blu-ray features 8 songs specially recorded by unearthing live footage from their first solo performances in Japan from 1985 to 2008. This was granted by the band for the sake of their Japanese fans, and seven of the songs (Tr.18-24 of EXCLUSIVE) will be commercialized for the first time in the world. In addition, the TV program special “USA Rock Special “Bon Jovi in Philadelphia”, which was produced in 1985 and featured music critic Masanori Ito as MC, is recorded with some edited content from the broadcast at the time. This will also be the world’s first commercialization. In this special program, Mr. Ito visited the studio where “7800° Fahrenheit” was being recorded in Philadelphia, USA, and interviewed the members, as well as the live performance when they appeared on “Super Rock‛84″ on their first visit to Japan in 1984. The video “Get Ready” is also included, allowing you to see Bon Jovi’s fresh yet powerful stage performance after just debuting.

Also includes music videos for the top 16 songs selected by Japanese fans (songs included on CD 1). This is the world’s first commercialization of one song, the world’s first HD video commercialization of 11 songs, and the world’s first Blu-ray release, and the total recording time of the Blu-ray is over two hours.

As a bonus for purchasing the CD, 20 types of trading cards are included. The Super Deluxe edition will randomly contain 4 pieces from a total of 20 types, the Deluxe edition will randomly contain 3 pieces from a total of 20 types, and the regular edition will randomly contain 1 piece from each of the 20 types. Of the 20 types of trading card photos, 12 photos, which account for the majority, were taken by photographer William Heims. Mr. Haymes’ 12 photos of Bon Jovi from the 1980s to the 2000s have been specially allowed to be used as trading cards, and many other photos by Mr. Heims also grace the CD booklet.

To commemorate the release of this work, the official pop-up store “All Time Best 1984-2024 Pop-up Store” will be held in Tokyo from November 20th (Wednesday) to November 29th (Friday). It will be held at UNIVERSAL MUSIC STORE HARAJUKU in Harajuku. This will be the band’s second pop-up store, following the Bon Jovi Forever Pop-Up Store, which opened in June of this year in conjunction with the release of their album “Forever.” The store will sell official goods such as apparel and accessories in addition to original goods commemorating this work and the band’s 40th anniversary since its debut. If you make a purchase of 3,000 yen or more, you will receive one of the 20 types of trading cards included in this work per transaction. If you make a purchase of 10,000 yen or more, you will receive a special “Forever” tenugui as a gift. The sale will end as soon as both the trading cards and tenugui are gone.

In addition, the collaboration event “Bon Jovi, All Time Best” with the American restaurant “Hard Rock Cafe” will be held at the same restaurant’s four domestic stores (Tokyo Roppongi / Ueno Station Tokyo / Yokohama / Universal City Walk Osaka) in December. This event will be held for a limited time until the 15th (Sunday). During the event, special cocktails inspired by the two songs “Livin’ On A Prayer” and “It’s My Life”, which won first and second place in the voting, will be served.
