Universal Music LLC (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takashi Fujikura / Universal Music) will release Motohiro Hata’s collaboration album “HATA EXPO -The Collaboration Album-” in November. It will be released on the 20th (Wednesday).
This work includes collaborations with sumika and Hanaregumi, as well as artists such as TOMOO, comedian Naoki Matayoshi (Peace), and overseas artist Lisa Loeb. A total of 10 songs are included from the previously released songs, including the collaboration song “reunion” with back number and Takeshi Kobayashi, and co-compositions with artists related to Hata such as KAN, Asako Toki, and Straightener.
The Blu-ray that comes with the first limited edition also includes a video interview between Motohiro Hata and Masamune Kusano talking about this collaboration. The collaboration song “ringo” is, according to Hata himself, “a rock, cute, and slightly distorted love song.” Spitz is someone Hata has admired for his songs and singing voice since he was a teenager. Even after his debut, “Rock Rock Hello! I have participated in many events hosted by Spitz, including “ ”, and this collaboration with Masamune Kusano came true after an enthusiastic offer. This is the first time that Masamune Kusano will co-write a song with another artist instead of featuring him.
The collaborative song “Into the Blue” with Lisa Loeb is also used as Takashimaya’s 2024 Christmas campaign song. This song will be used in the original movie that can be viewed on the 2024 Takashimaya Christmas special website, and will also be broadcast quickly inside each Takashimaya store along with comments from Hata himself.
