Universal Music LLC (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takashi Fujikura / Universal Music) has released the single “Fuyu no Hana” to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Koji Miyamoto’s solo debut. Two CDs of the new song “close your eyes” will be released at the same time on Wednesday, December 4th.
To commemorate the 5th anniversary of Koji Miyamoto’s solo debut, he will simultaneously release two albums, “Fuyu no Hana”, which will be released digitally in 2019 and will be made into a CD single for the first time, and “Close Your Eyes”, his first new song in 3 years.
Her debut solo song “Winter Flowers” is coupled with “Woman “From the Tragedy of W”, which was only released online. The first limited edition includes a photo book with the latest photos taken. A 7-inch analog record is also scheduled to be released on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

Koji Miyamoto’s solo career started in 2019 after participating in collaborative works with Ringo Shiina and Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, which received a lot of attention.
His digital solo debut song “Fuyu no Hana”, which was written as the theme song for the drama “Gotsuma Gyo”, suddenly became a hit, and in March 2020, he released his first solo album “Miyamoto, Doppo”, which was further released in November. With the cover album “ROMANCE”, he achieved his first number 1 spot on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking and the Billboard JAPAN General Album Chart “HOT ALBUMS”.
In recognition of the results of these activities, in March 2021, they received the 71st Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for Art Encouragement.
In October 2021, Miyamoto will release the third album of his solo trilogy, “Yokuyo Mujin”. On New Year’s Eve, he participated in the 72nd NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen.
Immediately after the release of the album “Yoko Mujin”, they went on a whirlwind tour of 47 prefectures, and completed the tour final on June 12, 2022, their birthday.
In 2023, in parallel with his activities with Elephant Kashimashi, which will celebrate his 35th anniversary since his debut, he will hold a one-man Pia Arena performance called “My Room.” 2024 will mark the 5th anniversary of Koji Miyamoto’s solo career, and he is currently conducting his 5th Anniversary Tour “Where I Want to Go Now” with 14 performances in 11 cities nationwide.
