Yokohama’s Funk-Infused Pop Punk Band Black Leech Releases “Make You Sad”

Black Leech Drops 1st Single “Make You Sad” with Their Debut Music Video!

After rocking the stage at last year’s “SUMMER SONIC 2022,” the Yokohama-based funk-infused pop punk band Black Leech has dropped their latest single, “Make You Sad.” Making waves in the pop punk scene of their hometown and beyond, this release is a major step for the band.

The new track “Make You Sad” is a high-energy mix of 90s and early 2000s pop punk, blended with the band’s signature funk rock twist. It’s groovy, it’s fast, and it’s exactly what fans have been waiting for. But don’t be fooled by the upbeat sound—the lyrics are packed with the band’s characteristic irony and sense of dissonance with modern society.

In sync with the single’s release, the band also unveils their very first music video. Themed around “original expression,” it’s a playful and unique visual feast that perfectly complements the song’s dynamic pop vibe.
