Otomodatchi releases MV for title song “Hold On” produced by HMLT from 2nd EP

Otomodatchi released his 2nd EP “Hold On” on Wednesday, May 15th.

Otomodatchi is an R&B hip-hop duo from Tokyo, based in London and LA. The title of this work, “Hold On,” was chosen to represent Amiide and Jyodan, two former members of CIRRRCLE, who disbanded due to the coronavirus pandemic, to try again to achieve a dream they had almost given up on.

Contains six songs in total, including previously released songs such as “Doin It Well” produced by Chocoholic and “Sayin’ No” featuring queer R&B singer Kenzo Martini, as well as two new recordings. The title track “Hold On” was produced by Canadian HMLT, and the lyrics contain the message “Don’t let go of your dreams.”

Also, the music video for the same song, which was shot in LA, has been released, so be sure to check it out as well.

[Amiide (Otomodatchi) comment]

After CIRRRCLE, which was everything to me, disbanded, I was in a depressed state for about two years, and I have finally been able to smile, which is what I put into this song “Hold On.” I’m also deeply moved to be able to perform with Jyodan in Japan. I hope that people who were fans of CIRRRCLE will also receive this work.

[Comment from Jyodan (Otomodatchi)]

I think the happiest part of making this EP was being able to perform the songs from this work in Tokyo in March. I hope this EP will be my last sad song. I’ve been in trouble for a long time. The songs included in this EP are cheering songs for moving forward into the future. I wish I could do that too.
