BABYMONSTER’s “SHEESH” MV exceeds 200 million views in the shortest time as a K-POP girl group’s debut song

■The first fan meeting tour will start from Japan in May and full-scale promotional activities will begin.

BABYMONSTER’s “SHEESH” MV has set a new record for a K-Pop girl group’s debut song to surpass 200 million views in the shortest time.

According to YG Entertainment, the music video for BABYMONSTER’s official debut song “SHEESH” exceeded 200 million views on YouTube at around 8:24 p.m. on May 4th. This feat occurred approximately 33 days after its release, making it the fastest MV for a debut song by a K-pop girl group to achieve the same number of views.

Such results were predicted early on. This MV became the most viewed video within 24 hours after its release and topped the YouTube Global Weekly Chart. It took 10 days to reach 100 million views, which is also a new record for the fastest debut song by a K-pop girl group.

BABYMONSTER has proven strong global popularity on YouTube. The free debut song “BATTER UP” quickly recorded 100 million views (on the 18th) and 200 million views (on the 53rd), followed by “Stuck In The Middle”, a ballad song without a performance. Despite this, it achieved 100 million views in 38 days. The channel has 5.37 million subscribers and cumulative views approaching 1.7 billion.

BABYMONSTER will hold the world’s first fan meeting “BABYMONSTER PRESENTS: SEE YOU THERE” at Ariake Arena on May 11th and 12th. Starting with this, a fan meeting tour will be held in Asia (Japan/Tokyo, Indonesia, Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, Thailand/Bangkok). Along with this, they will begin full-scale promotional activities in Japan, and will appear at the music festival “Summer Sonic 2024” in August. They are expected to interact more closely with global fans.
